Garden Thursdays Concert Series | Steven Jon Kaplan
The Kearny Public Library is pleased to present another program in its Garden Thursdays Concert Series at the new Main Library Reading Garden at 3:00 PM on Thursday, August 17.
Steven Jon Kaplan was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, studied piano and composition at the Peabody Institute, and moved to Kearny in February 1997. He enjoys writing songs and performing all kinds of music, and has previously entertained visitors at the Kearny Library on several past occasions. Steve is honored to return on July 23, and expects to have one or more surprise guests when he plays for the first time in the new outdoor garden space. Feel free to request your favorites for him to play.
Please join us for this special event, free of charge and open to all interested. Please note that in the event of rain or inclement weather, we will be featuring music in our lower level Assembly Room. Our Reading Garden space, which is in its third season, will be open all Summer during the Main Library’s open public hours. Also, take some time to visit the Kearny Farmer’s Market, located on Garfield Avenue right next to the library, which is open every Thursday from 12 NOON to 6 PM.
The Kearny Public Library is located at 318 Kearny Ave. in Kearny, NJ. For more information on this or other programs, please call (201) 998-2666
