The Kearny Public Library would like to announce an exciting new weekly Crazy Chemworks program with instructors from Mad Science, open to children in grades 2 – 7. This six-week workshop will meet on Fridays at 4:00 PM, beginning March 1 and ending April 5.

Shake up a flask of fun in the lab as a junior chemist!! These chemistry classes are packed solid with cool reactions. Students put on some goggles and change liquid to solid and back again. They get to handle laboratory tools, build and break molecules, and pick up some tricks on chemical changes.

This workshop is open to all Kearny residents, but class size is limited and registration is required. While the Kearny Library is contributing most of the funding needed, there will be a small $10 registration fee per child for the six-week session. Registration will open online on Saturday, February 23 through the Mad Science website. Follow this link:

You will be asked to create an account and sign into the system in order to register and pay for your child. Please call the library or stop in if you have any issues with the registration system.
