MUSEUM: Woman’s Club of Arlington Presents a Saturday Matinee – Trouble with the Curve (PG-13 / 112 min.)
The Woman’s Club of Arlington and Kearny Museum Committee will be hosting a special movie event at the Kearny Museum on Saturday, March 16 at 11:00 AM to promote their upcoming Author Tea event. The afternoon will include light refreshments and a screening of The Trouble with the Curve (112 min.), the story of an ailing baseball scout, played by Clint Eastwood, on what could be his last recruiting trip. All are welcome to this special event, which will take place on the second floor of the Main Library, located at 318 Kearny Ave. in Kearny, NJ.
On Sunday, April 7, come to the Henrietta Benstead Senior Center and enjoy an afternoon with author Ed Lucas, a Reporter, Broadcaster and Sports Journalist. His biography, Seeing Home, which will be available for sale on the 7th, is the inspiring story of how baseball took sight, but also gave him a career and a life. The afternoon will also include a luncheon, gift baskets and a 50/25/25 with proceeds benefitting CASA Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children and other local charities. Tickets are $35 and can be purchased by sending a check to:
