Join an instructor from City Winds Trio as they introduce attendees to the science of sound on the virtual Zoom platform. The afternoon will include experiments and crafts about how vibrations work and travel.

On November 19, we will experiment with singing glasses and make a paper cup phone. Supplies the students will need at home are 3-5 glasses with stems, 2 plastic Easter eggs or empty yogurt cups, dried beans or beads, rice, 2 paper or plastic cups, pencil, string, scissors, and duck / painting tape. *PLEASE NOTE* The Kearny Library will be putting together supply kits for the first 20 participants. If interested, please sign up with the library by calling (201) 998-2666 or emailing kearnylibrarycovid19@gmail.com. Kits will be available for pickup in the building or curbside for the first 20 kids starting on November 16.
