Join an instructor from City Winds Trio as they introduce attendees to the science of sound on the virtual Zoom platform. The afternoon will include experiments and crafts about how vibrations work and travel.

On November 12, we will have a vocal chord experiment and get the opportunity to make a pan flute. Students will have to have the following supplies at home: metal fork, 3-6 glasses or jars of the same size, food coloring, pencil, drinking straws, string, tape and scissors. *PLEASE NOTE* The Kearny Library will be putting together supply kits for the first 20 participants. If interested, please sign up with the library by calling (201) 998-2666 or emailing kearnylibrarycovid19@gmail.com. Kits will be available for pickup in the building or curbside for the first 20 kids starting on November 9.
