Children’s Zumba Class (ages 6 – 8)
The Kearny Public Library would like to announce a free Zumba class for children, which will meet at the Main Library on Saturday, October 21. At 11:00 AM, we welcome children ages 6 – 8, and then at 12 PM, we welcome children ages 9 and up. Zumba is the coolest and most popular group fitness class in the world. It allows children to develop new talents, enforce their confidence and learn the importance of teamwork and cooperation in a fun and enjoyable way! These classes will be geared towards beginning students, so children will learn basics and easy dance steps. No previous dancing experience is required.
KPL Zumba Classes will be taught by a local certified teacher. They will be free of charge. However, our space will be limited to 15 participants on a first come, first served basis. If interested in attending, please try to arrive early. All students are asked to bring a bottle of water and a towel. A change of clothes is recommended, especially for younger participants. Classes will be 50 minutes long, including water and restroom breaks. Parents are asked to sign a liability waiver form before their children can attend. These forms will be made available before class. We also ask that parents remain outside of the room during class, or designate someone who will be on the premises, to make water and restroom breaks possible.
The Kearny Public Library is located at 318 Kearny Ave. For more information on this or any of our other many programs, please call the library at (201) 998-2666 or check out our website at www.kearnylibrary.org
