The Kearny Public Library is pleased to present another program in its series of Garden Thursdays at 1:00 PM on Thursday, August 1.  We welcome the return of Kearny favorite, the James Dean Quartet, a four-piece jazz band which features some of the most experienced musicians in the area.  James Dean, a regular performer at the Whiskey Café in the Meadowlands, has been performing jazz since the 1970’s.  He has worked with many well-known celebrities and performers, including Neil Sedaka, Yul Brynner, Shirley Bassey and Eddie Fisher.

Please join us for this special event, free of charge and open to all interested. Please note that in the event of rain or inclement weather, we will be featuring music in our lower level Assembly Room.  While you’re in the neighborhood, please take some time to also visit the Kearny Farmer’s Market, located on the Garfield Avenue side of the building, between Kearny Avenue and Chestnut Street. The Market will run every Thursday afternoon throughout the Summer from 12 NOON until 6 PM.
